The SPARK talks feature keynote speeches from renowned experts in various fields focusing on specific issues related to the NYC Theme. SPARK serves to shed light on the challenges that the nation faces and seeks to inspire the youth to become proactive in finding solutions through the insights shared by the speakers. |

LAUNCH Workshops
LAUNCH equips high school students with practical knowledge and skills in their topics of choice. In these workshops, esteemed personalities, leaders, and trailblazers are invited to share their knowledge to the delegates through short talks. Afterwards, as an opportunity to enhance and solidify their learnings, delegates are given optional tasks. |

Opportunities Fair
The Opportunities Fair is an online fair held to promote our various partners and sponsors. Invited NGOs and companies will join the fair to expose the delegates to their line of work and to the various opportunities they have to offer, such as volunteer initiatives, company activations, and future membership in their organizations. |

Online Amazing Race
Delegates from different regions and backgrounds are teamed up with each other to encourage diversity and inclusivity between members of the youth and nurture meaningful connections. The Amazing Race will allows participants to apply the lessons they have learned from NYC through fun and competitive tasks. |

SMART
Idea Pitch Competition As NYC’s headline competition, SMART aims to harness the youth’s creativity and innovation in addressing relevant issues. This year, it will involve a preliminary round, where schools are tasked to submit an idea proposal. The top ten (10) finalists will then compete in a live pitch presentation. |

Quiz Bee
The classic NYC Economics Quiz Bee brought online! This year’s Quiz Competition will be held asynchronously to test each contestant's knowledge, understanding, and overall application of economic concepts. |

INK
Essay Writing Competition NYC’s annual essay writing competition, INK, gives delegates a platform to share their perspectives on pressing questions and topics covered in this year’s theme. |

GLIMPSE
Video Competition GLIMPSE provides delegates an opportunity to explore common economic misconceptions and produce outputs to spread awareness on these issues. GLIMPSE video entries will be posted in NYC’s website and social media accounts, and, as part of the scoring rubric, participants must gather likes and shares for their entries. |

CAPTURE
Infographic and Visual Art Competition NYC’s annual CAPTURE competition comes back with two (2) categories: an infographic making competition and a visual arts competition. The infographic category seeks to showcase the participants’ talents in creating thought-provoking, visually pleasing, and easily digestible digital materials. Both the infographic and visual arts entries will be posted in NYC’s website and social media accounts, and, as part of the scoring rubric, participants must gather likes and shares for their entries. |

BLAZE
Extemporaneous Speaking Competition NYC 19 premieres a new competition this year in the form of BLAZE, its first-ever inter-school extemporaneous speaking competition. BLAZE seeks to empower the youth by providing a platform for them to speak up on various issues, questions, and topics covered in this year’s theme. |
