National Youth Congress (NYC)
The annual National Youth Congress (NYC) is a partnership between two of the prime student organizations in the University of the Philippines Diliman - the UP Economics Society (UP ECOSOC), and the UP School of Economics Student Council (UP SESC). It is a nationwide convention that exposes high school students to the underlying problems of our society, engaging them to talk about what role they can play as youth leaders. Ultimately, NYC strives to provide an avenue where students from all over the country can gather, learn, and collaborate about the important issues of the Philippine society.
National Economics Summit (NES)
The National Economics Summit is a symposium that brings together top economic students from around the nation to discuss, debate, and consolidate views and opinions on issues that shape our country. The event assesses relevant issues around the world from the viewpoint of economics.
UPFront
UPFront is the largest and most recognized University Student Council (USC) elections forum in the University of the Philippines Diliman. It is integrated with the USC Miting de Avance and provides an interactive environment for USC candidates to present their respective platforms, visions, plans, and stances on salient issues both inside and outside the university to create discourse among the students. UPFront aims to reach and guide the university student body to develop critical thinking, the initiative to voice out their concerns, and make an educated vote for USC that will represent them well.
Rundown
The Rundown is a forum on the Senate Elections for the youth, by the youth designed to eradicate all notions of apathy commonly believed about the youth. It strives to inform and educate young Filipino voters by providing a thorough analysis of each candidate’s plans, platforms, and stances on pertinent issues affecting the country.
