Ecosoc Month (EM)
A month-long celebration of the organization’s founding in September, 1958. Ecosoc Month consists of 4-5 big events – Launch/Gallery, Service Project, National Economics Summit, Grand Tradition, and a culminating event – that highlights the best of the Economics Society.
Usually in a the form of a wild party or a formal event, Launch is the first event of Ecosoc Month, typically held on the last days of August, or the first few days of September. The Gallery, on the other hand, is visual art that showcases the society. The Gallery is released simultaneously with Launch. These events signal the start of Ecosoc Month.
Grand Tradition, better known as GT, is a competition among the committees of the organization. The contestants showcase their talents through lip-synching and dancing. It’s a night full of laughter and wild adventures and is highly anticipated by the organization's current members.
Grand Alumni Homecoming
The Grand Alumni Homecoming was celebrated on Ecosoc’s 60th year and served as that year’s EM final event. GAH served as a collision between the current Ecosoc members and Ecosoc alumni, including the first president of the organization – Mr. Godofredo Bamba. A formal event held at AG New World Manila, truly one for the books.
LIV was EM’s final event for 5 years (2012-2017). It was a large-scale party event open to the public that is dubbed the most colorful night of the year, involving a lot of paint and water splashing. It started during the 54th year of Ecosoc, which actually represents the Roman Numerals, LIV.
Glō was an augmented reality party with DJs and free-flowing drinks held at the Events Matrix Creation Venue. A night full of lights and lasers, this was the event that culminated EM 61. Attendees danced and grooved the night away through the different segments' themes visualized by the projections on the walls.
